In 2009 I graduated as class Salutatorian in Lennard High School in the small town of Ruskin, Florida. During high school I was awarded the AP Scholar with Distinction award and qualified for the triathlon age-group national championships. In 2013 I graduated from the University of Florida with a double-major in History and Political Science. While at the University of Florida I interned with the Fraud Prevention unit at the US Embassy in Lima, Peru and the Honorary Consulate of Peru in Tampa, Florida. I also studied abroad at the Menton and Poitiers campuses of the Sciences Po – Paris, specializing respectively in Euro-Latin American studies and the Middle East. At Sciences Po I immersed myself in French and Arabic language study as well as regional foreign policy coursework. Following graduation I moved to Hangzhou, China to teach English and pursue independent Chinese language study.
