The Robertson Foundation for Government (RFG) acknowledges the passing of former board chair and long-time member of the RFG Board of Directors, The Honorable Robert Halligan, who passed away on November 11, 2018.

The Robertson Foundation for Government (RFFG) is a nonprofit family foundation dedicated to helping government meet its talent needs by identifying, educating and motivating top U.S. graduate students to pursue federal government careers in foreign policy, national security and international affairs.

A Vision of Service

Established by the family of the late philanthropists Charles and Marie Robertson, and named in their honor, the Robertson Foundation for Government pursues a mission that was central to Mr. and Mrs. Robertson’s philanthropic activities.


RFFG provides a comprehensive academic fellowship, including room, board, and other expenses.


RFFG hosts events and gives tailored recommendations to Fellows as they expand their networks.


RFFG works with various public and private institutions to secure internships for Robertson Fellows.


RFFG helps Fellows follow their passion for public service with employment advice.
