Bush School of Texas A&M
Class of 2018
Shannon graduated magna cum laude from Hendrix College in 2016 with a Bachelor of Arts with distinction in International Relations. She played an active role in the Hendrix community as an executive member of the student senate, a member of the varsity track team, a United Methodist Youth Fellow, and was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa.
While completing her studies, Shannon further explored careers in International Affairs by gaining experience through internships. She spent the 2014-2015 school year working for the Clinton Foundation in Little Rock as a volunteer coordinator, and the following year at Sandia National Laboratories where she worked first on cyber and cloud security and then on nuclear nonproliferation. These experiences helped Shannon solidify her desire to pursue a masters degree in international affairs with a focus on national security and diplomacy.
