Lynn Massengill

The Fletcher School at Tufts University
Class of 2016

At The Fletcher School, Lynn is focusing her graduate studies on international energy and environmental resource policy and international business relations. In addition to her coursework, Lynn will chair the 2016 Tufts Energy Conference and is a member of the Fletcher Energy and Environment Club. In the summer after her first year at Fletcher, Lynn was an intern in the Bureau of Energy Resources at the State Department in Washington, D.C. After earning her master’s, Lynn hopes to pursue a career in clean energy with the Federal Government, with an agency such as the EPA or as an economic officer in the Foreign Service.

Before graduate school, Lynn spent two years working for EnerNOC, an international energy management company based in Boston, MA. As part of the Business Operations team, she supported EnerNOC’s demand response programs by creating transparent and consistent portfolio management processes and addressing cross-team issues. Lynn’s earlier professional experience includes both state government and non-profit work: during college, she held summer internships at the Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs in Boston, MA and the American Red Cross in New York, NY.

Lynn earned her bachelor’s degree in International Studies with a focus on Economics, and a minor in Hispanic Studies from Boston College. She grew up in Morristown, New Jersey.
