Geoffrey Robertson is a Director of the Robertson Foundation for Government and currently serves as the Chair of the Board. He earned a Bachelors of Science degree in Community Development and Applied Economics with a concentration in small business and later an MBA, both from the University of Vermont. While an MBA candidate, Geoff focused on finance and sustainable business practices and earned professional certificates in the areas of Sustainable Business and Collaborative Management (public/private partnerships).

Geoff’s desire to leverage business to help improve society lead him to alternative energy consulting after graduation and subsequently to the Entrepreneurial Advisor position at Davis & Hodgdon, CPAs. As a management consultant at Davis & Hodgdon Geoff worked with businesses in northern Vermont in an effort to help them measure and manage their organizations more efficiently. Geoff was subsequently hired by long time client SchoolSpring, LLC a cloud based recruitment and applicant tracking system for K – 12 schools. He was soon promoted to CFO in which capacity he directed long term strategy and aided in all significant business decisions. Ultimately, Geoff negotiated the successful sale of the company.

Geoff then served as CEO of Empower Mobility, a mobile software development shop, where he managed all things business and was responsible for all HR and financial related tasks. Geoff joined the Vermont Sustainable Jobs Fund in May 2017 as Director of Business Assistance. In this role he works with Vermont businesses to encourage growth, create jobs and further the sustainable business environment in Vermont.

Geoff lives in Stowe, Vermont with his two boys and their dog and enjoys an active outdoor lifestyle.
