Class of 2019
Michael recently graduated summa cum laude from the University of South Florida with a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies, minor in Economics, and certificate in Asian Studies. During his undergraduate studies, he was fortunate to have been awarded a National Security Education Program Boren Scholarship to study Mandarin in Beijing, China for a full academic year. In addition, Michael received a grant from the Office of National Intelligence and University of South Florida’s National & Competitive Intelligence Program to attend a summer seminar on Russian Foreign Policy in Estonia and Finland. After graduation, Michael moved to Augsburg, Germany to work as a financial controller for Premium AEROTEC, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Airbus Group.
Michael has lived in the United States, Germany, Spain, and China. He is bilingual in German and English, professionally proficient in Mandarin, and conversational in Spanish. He has always been interested in languages, cultures, and relationships between states. He hopes to put both his experience and studies to good use by pursuing a career in the U.S. Foreign Service.
