Max Tucker

Max Tucker is pursuing master’s degrees in public administration and international relations at Syracuse University’s Maxwell School. Upon graduating, he hopes to work with the Federal Bureau of Investigation or the Bureau of Conflict and Stabilization Operations at the Department of State.

Max grew up in Madison, South Dakota, and attended the University of North Dakota, where he studied political science and international relations, graduating summa cum laude. Max then commissioned into the Army in 2011 and served four and a half years as an infantry officer. He served both at Fort Benning, GA, and Schofield Barracks, HI, as a Platoon Leader, Executive Officer, and Operations Officer. In May of 2013, he deployed with his unit to the Republic of the Philippines and conducted joint training, mentoring, and rapport building with the Philippine Army.

Max plans to concentrate on intra-state conflict resolution and reconciliation issues while at the Maxwell School. Max enjoys hiking, camping, and traveling with his wife, Erin.
