Kelly Roberts graduated magna cum laude from the South Carolina Honors College at the University of South Carolina in 2011, earning a bachelor of arts in international studies with a double minor in anthropology and French. During college, she was a research assistant for the office of senate research at the South Carolina senate. Before completing her degree, Kelly also studied abroad at Moulay Ismail University in Meknes, Morocco.
Prior to starting her graduate studies, Kelly worked as a senior program associate for the world justice project. At the World Justice Project, Kelly managed data collection and analysis for the WJP’s flagship publication, the rule of law index. She also conducted research on the status of the rule of law in different countries as well as on the mechanisms by which the rule of law operates and affects economic and political life.
