Class of 2015

Daniel’s interest in international affairs stems from growing up in a small town along the U.S.-Mexican border. This experience inspired him to participate in a second Rotary exchange, traveling to Waterloo, Belgium. Daniel has also studied in Israel twice for a total of six months. Through these experiences and additional training, Daniel has gained advanced proficiency in Spanish and French and intermediate competency in Portuguese. Daniel has demonstrated his commitment to public service through a number of internships. Daniel interned in Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords’ office. He also interned at the U.S. Embassy in Lima, Peru with both the State Department and the U.S. Agency for International Development. He most recently completed an internship with the Department of Defense at US Southern Command in Miami, Florida. Daniel aspires to become a Foreign Service Office with the Department of State.
