Stéphane Laroche

The Fletcher School at Tufts University
Class of 2014

Stéphane recently completed his master’s degree at The Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, Tufts University. The focus of his studies was International Trade and Economic Development. While a student at Fletcher, he interned with the U.S. Export Assistance Center in Boston and with the U.S. Foreign Commercial Service in Paris. He’d like to continue working on projects that use free trade as an effective tool to foster economic development both domestically and abroad. He is a current PMF with the U.S. Department of State.

Stéphane developed an affinity for international affairs as an undergraduate at Concordia College-NY. As a student there, he had the opportunity to participate in a 2-week cultural immersion program in Tokyo, which opened his eyes to East Asia. Since this experience, he has cultivated his knowledge of world affairs and developed an appreciation for the role that the U.S. plays in global issues.

Stéphane grew up in Port-au-Prince, Haïti and immigrated to the U.S. in 2004. He currently resides in Tysons Corner with his fiancée, Jillian.
