G. Oliver Elliott

G. Oliver Elliott is a graduate of the Maxwell School at Syracuse University, where he earned an MPA and an MA in International Relations. While a graduate student, Oliver interned with the South and Southeast Asia policy office at the Department of Defense, with a member of the U.S. House of Representatives, and with the Acquisitions and Sourcing Management team at the Government Accountability Office.

Currently, Oliver works as a consultant for CSC and is staffed on the CDC’s World Trade Center Health Program. Prior to graduate studies, he spent nine months in Kolkata, India where he studied Hindi and volunteered with Hridaya Family, a local NGO. Oliver has also worked as an international capital markets paralegal at Allen & Overy in New York City, where he worked on complex international financial transactions, sovereign bond offerings, and securitizations, and as a research assistant for Dr. Stephanie Neuman at the Saltzman Institute of War and Peace Studies at Columbia University, where he completed his BA in Political Science.

Oliver is from California’s Central Valley. He has an intermediate understanding of Spanish and basic understanding of Hindi. He will begin a job with the government in the fall of 2015.
