Nathan graduated from the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs at Syracuse University in 2013 with dual master’s degrees in public administration and international relations. While at Maxwell, his academic specializations included international development, post-conflict reconstruction, and public management. He is currently working to support US-funded international democracy and governance strengthening programs as an Agreement Administrator with the National Democratic Institute for International Affairs (NDI), a non-profit organization created by the US Government in 1983.
Nathan has previously worked for two international public health NGOs in the Washington, DC, area, in addition to short-term assignments with the U.S. Agency for International Development and Search for Common Ground in 2012. His prior international experience has taken him to Cameroon, Rwanda, Nigeria and Haiti. Nathan speaks French, as well as basic Arabic, and grew up in Gaithersburg, Maryland.
