Austin Bowman

Austin Bowman is currently a Master’s candidate at The Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University, where he is concentrating on International Security Studies and International Political Economy. His interests include cybersecurity, information warfare, European and NATO policy, terrorism and counterterrorism, illicit finance, and U.S.-Russia relations. He recently interned for the Office of the Secretary of Defense where he worked on European and NATO policy issues. Upon graduation, he hopes to pursue a career in defense policy, particularly in cybersecurity and illicit finance.

Before Fletcher, Austin served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in a small village in Kosovo. As part of the first Peace Corps group in Kosovo, Austin worked closely with the local community, helped create a nationwide assessment for Peace Corps, and coordinated multiple USAID sponsored grants for communities across the country. Prior to Peace Corps, Austin graduated magna cum laude from The University of Colorado, Colorado Springs where he majored in Psychology and Leadership Communication, with a minor in Political Science.
