The Robertson Foundation for Government (RFFG) is a nonprofit family foundation dedicated to helping government meet its talent needs by identifying, educating and motivating top U.S. graduate students to pursue federal government careers in foreign policy, national security and international affairs.

A Vision of Service

Established by the family of the late philanthropists Charles and Marie Robertson, and named in their honor, the Robertson Foundation for Government pursues a mission that was central to Mr. and Mrs. Robertson’s philanthropic activities: strengthening the United States government and increasing its ability and determination to defend and extend freedom throughout the world by improving the training and education of men and women for government service, with particular emphasis on international relations and foreign affairs.
History of the Foundation

Education

RFFG provides a comprehensive academic fellowship, including room, board, and other expenses.

Networking

RFFG hosts events and gives tailored recommendations to Fellows as they expand their networks.

Internships

RFFG works with various public and private institutions to secure internships for Robertson Fellows.

Employment

RFFG helps Fellows follow their passion for public service with employment advice.

APSIA

The Association of Professional Schools of International Affairs (APSIA) is a non-profit educational organization composed of graduate-level schools of international affairs.

The NASPA Foundation works to advance the student affairs profession by recognizing achievements, supporting meaningful research and honoring the legacy of NASPA and student affairs leaders, scholars, and practitioners.

YGL

Young Government Leaders (YGL) is committed to providing the authentic voice for our generation of aspiring government leaders.


Training Leaders

The Robertson Fellows are selected by our partner institutions. Upon entry into the program, they gain access to a wide network of resources that help them achieve their goals of Federal Government service, including networking, internship guidance, job hunting, and, of course, funding for their education.
